His wife, Margaret, of 72 years was by his side. He is fondly remembered by all his family, his friends, and the many grandchildren and great-grandchildren here and overseas. The family thank all the staff and management of the Rowena Jackson Retirement Village for the care and support of Dad and Mum through this difficult time. A rosary for Fred will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 449 North Road, on Wednesday at 5:00 PM. A service to celebrate Fred’s life will be held on January 9th at Sacred Heart Church, 449 North Road, Waikiwi, Invercargill, commencing at 11:00 AM, followed by interment at the Eastern Cemetery.
