Fred passed away peacefully at the Rowena Jackson Retirement Village, Invercargill, on January 3rd, 2025, aged 96. His wife, Margaret, of 72 years was by his side.
He is fondly remembered by all his family, his friends, and the many grandchildren and great-grandchildren here and overseas.
The family thank all the staff and management of the Rowena Jackson Retirement Village for the care and support of Dad and Mum through this difficult time.
A rosary for Fred will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 449 North Road, on Wednesday at 5:00 PM.
A service to celebrate Fred’s life will be held on January 9th at Sacred Heart Church, 449 North Road, Waikiwi, Invercargill, commencing at 11:00 AM, followed by interment at the Eastern Cemetery.

Very sad that we are unable to attend the funeral but will watch the on the live stream.
Many fond memories of Fred from my childhood and lots of holidays in Lawrence.
Many laughs at the antics of my father and Fred during those years.

Dear Uncle Fred,
One of God's Characters that we always looked forward to seeing when we went to Lawrence as kids during the holidays. Always a cheery word and "leg-pull" to see us on our way and Dad (Charlie) particularly liked to have a catch-up. Quite a history there and am sure you will get a great 'welcome' from him.
