Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at home, on Thursday, August 28, 2025; aged 64 years. 

Dearly loved son of the late Hana and Andy Moir. 

Much loved father and father-in-law of Tania and Nick, Carl and Kelly, Russell and Tash, Emily, Hana and Te Mana. Loved Grandad of his 13 grandchildren. 

Loved brother and brother-in-law of Andrew and Paula, Bev and Stev, Donna and Phil, Matt and Donna, Josh and Tonz. Cherished uncle of all his nieces and nephews. Much loved nephew of Aunty Robyn. 

A massive thank you to Southland Hospice and the Southland District Nurses for the wonderful care they gave Wayne in his final days.

"Moe Mai Rā Bro" Rest easy, Wayne. You will be dearly missed, always loved, and never forgotten. 

A service to celebrate Wayne’s life will be held at the Waiau Town and Country Club, Tuatapere, on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 2.00pm.
