Passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, at Gore Hospital on 4 August 2026, aged 74.
Treasured daughter of Ian* and Ngaire*, and dearly loved by her sister, Barbara and family. Adored mother of Mathew and mother-in-law of Laura. Much loved grandmother of Ethan and Antony. A good friend of John Malcolm*.
As per Shirley's wishes, a private family service has been held.
Shirley was the most selfless person who lived her life caring for others and making everyone's lives better.
Former staff, friends and families are invited to join in celebrating and appreciating Shirley's four decades of loving care at Parata. Please join us at 2 PM this Sunday, 9th of August, in the Parata Chapel, 39 Kitchener Street, Gore.
