Peacefully, with great dignity, at Southland Hospital with Lyn at his side.
Most dearly loved husband of Lyn for more than 64 years. Devoted and loved father and father-in-law of Julie and John Asher (Miller’s Flat), and Richard and Karen (Florida).
Adored grandfather and great-grandfather of Karly, Luke, and Jacob Asher-Howard (W.A.); Micaela, Dre, Finn, and Pippa Niehaus (Dunedin); Alex and Helen (Melbourne); Adam and Miles (Wellington); and Natasha (Wellington).
In keeping with Peter’s wishes, there will be no funeral. Messages to The Stonehouse Family, c/- PO Box 504, Invercargill 9810.
The family are very grateful for the amazing care from Dr. Kirsten Taplin of Murihiku Medical Services, and the medical ward staff at Southland Hospital.
