Passed away after a short illness at Rose Lodge Care Home on January 5, 2026.

Much-loved husband of Sandy and the late Ngaere.

Cherished brother of  Elizabeth, Marie, Doug, and Paul (Lewis* and Lorraine*).

Proudly fathered sons: Karl and Steven

Loved father figure to Mike, Debbie, Rhonda, Shane, Shawn*, Donna, Katrina, and Stacy*.

Respected father-in-law to Peter, Lindsay, Lynette, Maree, Aaron, and Lauren.

Adored Poua to Grandchildren: Wendy, Tina, and Michelle; Ellen, Anna, and Todd; Zoe, Sam, and Jesse; Holly and Jack; Anton; Raejhan*, Shakhan, Rzaiah;  Bree, Quin & Jorja; Deegan and Medina; and Great Grandchild: Nevaeh.

Special Uncle to Kerei and Rana; Bex and Nigel; and other nieces and nephews.

Acknowledged as whanau, his closest friend Phil and Helen "sister"; Poua by love to Rochelle, Catherine, Bronwyn, Ngaire and their families.

And great cuzzy bro, in-law, and friend to many.

As per Pita’s wishes, a private cremation has been held.

A memorial service will be held at a later date, to be advised.
