It is with sadness that we announce the death of John .
Loved husband of Patricia. Stepfather to Priya and James Thomas, Peter and Cindy Power, Cindy and Grant Hayes.
Grandad John to Jasmine, Chelsea, Joshua, Trinity, Bethany, Ashleigh Hayes. Coby and Aria Power. Amelia and Olivia Thomas.
Great grandfather to Isobel and Rylan.
John wished for everyone to remember him how he was.
A happy man, with a great love for country music.
A memorial will be held to celebrate John's life at the Invercargill Christian Community Centre, 165 Leet Street, at 1.30 on Saturday 22nd July.

Cousin John was a special humorous guy and loved to tell great stories. Have fond memories growing up staying in Otautau at his parents place. during school holidays and visiting them in Queenstown when they camped every year. John will be sadly missed by many. Rest in peace cuz. Jen

I have very fond memories of Johnno. Got to know him at Kiwi Pie radio.
John loved his country music and would be at most of the gigs around Southland. He was a great help at Waikiwi music club and would be there everytime to help set up. You will be so missed. Rest in peace.
