It was a privilege to watch Chris's funeral service today, to grieve with the family and friends, and to celebrate a wonderful life well led by a neat guy. Chris belonged to a Photographic Society of New Zealand print circle. He shared his prints with us for many years, and we got to know him so well through the images he shared, the positive assessments he made, and the letters he included each time the bag came round. Twice, my wife Diane and I shared a meal with Chris and photography friends Dawn and Maria. They were neat, fun times.
We love you Chris and will miss you dearly. E moe, e moe, e moe ra.

Chris was a thoughtful, talented person who met people with an open heart.

My thoughts are with you all. I take great comfort from my recent visit and chat when Chris said this….
Bloody cancer! I'm over 80. I'm happy I got here, not too keen on this ‘old’ thing and even less keener on the cancer.
Rest in peace Chris
