So sad. Bill was a lovely man and I will always remember our links between Invercargill and Swinnerton School in the UK. I finally met him in Aus and had great time with him. RIP Bill

Never forgotten. Thats the life long influence of Mr Bodkin, headmaster at Waikaia Primary School early 60's. Had his work cut out at times but kept us grounded, earned our respect and delivered discipline timely and when necessary. Happy family memories. Sincere condolences to Whanau.

To Shirley and Family - So saddened to hear of Bill's passing, my condolences to you and the family. I remember Bill from our teaching days when he was Principal at Invercargill North. It was so lovely to meet up with both Bill and yourself again, when we moved to Alexandra, and more especially with you at the Bridge Club when it was held in Clyde. Special memories of both occasions.

Sorry to read of Bill (Mr Bodkin's) passing. He was the best teacher I ever had. Through the years I have thought of him many times. The job he did for us all at Dunearn school was great. Teaching children of all ages in the classroom, driving a lot of us home after school plus a lot of other important work no doubt. I remember him coming to play rugby with us all in the playground at lunchtime. We were all happy when he played for our team. I'm sure he did many great things for the education system during his working life.
I know you will all have great memories of him at this sad time.
