Anneke, I’m sorry I didn’t get to your mum’s funeral and final journey. I’ve watched the livestream and you are such a strong lady, just like Topsy and she will have been proud. Topsy will be sincerely missed, with her sometimes impromptu visit to the dog club grounds. May she rest in peace with Nic and their doggies who have gone before them.

Please accept my sincere condolences.
I met Tops when I was Vet Nursing in Dunedin, and she was part of a group that had bought Ian Billinghurst the vet who promotes raw feeding over to Invercargill - maybe 17 years ago now. I had planned to travel down and asked Tops about places to stay. Tops and Nic immediately said "Come stay with us" and I've never ever forgotten.

All our love and hugs to Tops family, she and I met way back in the '70's when we were both tied up in German Shepherd breeding and showing. She was the most knowledgeable friend and translator of the German pedigrees in those days.
We all loved going to her home on Moulsen St for dog club meetings, staying for having supper when Nice always bought home a delicious cake from the kitchens at the Grand Hotel. Lovely memories xxx.

To the Kooij family,

Our sincere condolences to a dearly loved wife and partner of Nic, and mother and mother-in-law of Marten, Anneke and AJ, and Derek, and grandmother of Matt and Estee, Brogan, Devon, and Max. Some great memories to treasure for everyone over the years which will never be forgotten. Tops was always very supportive and caring for her friends, family, and the "adopted family" of numerous chefs, chef trainees, and hotel staff over the years, offering advice, wisdom and support, wit, and someone you could always have a chat with, and our thoughts are with you all at this time. Love

Paul, Debbie and Brie Casson
