What a shock to hear. Condolences to the family.
I have known Sharleen since I was 11, as I went to high school with Sharleen. She was a couple of years older than me of course. She was always very friendly and nice to me. I remember going to her place in Invercargill once as she was friends with a foster girl we had and stayed there a few nights. It was so much fun. Then I ran into her again at the hospital years later when I took my son into the hospital for something, and she was so caring and loving and made sure not just me and my boy were good, but everyone else as well.
My husband worked at the hospital too, and he remembers her as having the kindest of hearts and being such a loving person.

When I began working at the hospital back in 2019, Shar was a kind and patient teacher. She was always so lovely to work with, and I felt comfortable coming to her with any questions. Over the years, I had the pleasure of working with Shar on many occasions, and she was always so very gentle and willing to help. Many a patient were so lucky to be cared for by you, and your colleagues were so fortunate to have worked with you. You will be so sorely missed. Aroha nui to your beautiful whanau

I've had the pleasure of knowing Shar my whole life, from school drop-offs with Nickelback playing, hot chocolate nights, Christmas dinners at Nanny and Papa's, so many memories that our whānau will cherish forever. The prettiest flowers aren't in the field, they are always picked for display. I look at all of the beautiful things like the stars, the sky, the moon, and now that's where I see you, Shar. We will miss you, but our love for you will last this lifetime and every other to follow.

The first time I saw you and Chris together, I knew he had met his match and his forever other half. You have been a true friend to me and George. We always looked forward to coming round for a coffee and a keep-it-real talk. You were a wordsmith with no equal and a silver tongue. May a tardis bring you back to us when we need your wisdom and lightsaber-sharp reality check

Shar has been part of my life for over 20 years. Always a calming presence and good for a laugh and a chinwag. I have fond memories of babysitting the kids and joining the mums for coffee at Cree Street. She watched me grow up and become a Mum myself. She always had time for me, and it never felt like any time had passed since we last spoke. I'm grateful for the time we had, I just wish there were more.
Love you, Shar. ❤️

I met Shar 30+ years ago & I can tell you a more beautiful soul there is not! Always smiling, always there when needed - would give her love, time & support freely. Fly free & enjoy your new peace.

Shar was an amazing mum, wife and dearly loved friend. I have found memories of her throughout childhood. From the cree street pranks and parties that my mother would throw. Borrowing her landline to call my friends, mixing up her jelly candles she had on her upstairs windowsill (which I wasn't meant to touch) and playing in the back yard. She will be forever loved and remembered through the amazing memories and stories her family and friends will forever cherish. Love you always, Shar X X

Shar has been a part of our family for over 30 years. We have many fond memories with her and her family while they lived in Edendale. She had the best sense of humour and always had a huge smile on her face. She would light up a room anywhere she went. She will be forever missed by us all. May she rest in peace. Much love to the whole family

Sharleen was a wonderful person who always cared for others. She is a huge loss to all who knew her, but she has left a lasting legacy of love and family.
