Jim passed away peacefully at home after an extended illness. Dearly loved husband of the late Isobel*, loved father of the late Anthony*, Aaron, and Glen. A much loved brother, father-in-law, grandfather, uncle and friend.
"Gone from our sight, but forever in our hearts."
As per Jim’s wishes, a private cremation has taken place. He and Isobel will be laid to rest with Anthony at the Eastern Cemetery at a later date.

Tēnā tātou Whānau mā. I just wanted to let you know that I'm sad to hear that Mātua Jim has passed and sending aroha and karakia to you all. He did a couple of emergency plumbing jobs at our old house in Ythan St in the past and also at Ngā Hau e Whā Marae when Whāea Isobel was the Treasurer. A lovely couple so I'm sad they are no longer with us and wanted to mihi to you about their contributions to the Marae and also Whāea Iz for NHEW kōhanga reo during 2012-2015. Really lovely couple who always made me feel welcomed and enjoyed their company. Moe mai rā e te Mātua, noho koe i te waenganui o mātou mātua tīpuna. Haere, haere, haere atu rā.
