Maurine Margaret (née Tinnock)

Peacefully, after a short illness, at Calvary Hospital, on 9 March 2024, aged 89 years.

Treasured daughter of Ada Lauder* and William Wallace Tinnock*, and dearly loved wife of Nicholas Graham (Tiny) Metzger for almost 70 years.

Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Paul* and Rosie Metzger, Robyn Metzger, Barbara Metzger and Syd Ball.

Beloved Nana of Aaron Metzger and Jan Trow, Michael Stevens and Emma Wyeth, Lara Stevens and Bob Bowen, Hannah Metzger, Daniel and Michelle Metzger, and Amy Rosenfeld.

Loved and respected by her 13 great-grandchildren.

The whānau thank the exceptional staff at Calvary and Southland Hospital for their dedicated care and manaaki.

Maurine is laying in state on Te Rau Aroha Marae, Bradshaw Street, Bluff.

Her service will take place there on Tuesday 12 March, beginning at 10 am. After her burial at Greenpoint Cemetery, a hākari will be served back on the marae.
