Many many memories over so many years, I always fondly remember sleep overs when I was a young teenager the best place to be especially at meal times I loved Eleanor’s deserts they were a high light of my time there..
Eleanor and Brian both were such generous and caring people and always made you feel welcome in their home ..this never ever changed I have felt welcome now for over 50 yrs..I am great full to have spent Christmas Day, the last before crazy Covid changed our lives nearly 3yrs ago, at the Jillings home accompanied by 2 of my adult sons as part of their extended family for lunch.
Coming back to invercargil will not be quite the same again without my usual visit to you in your home ..I am comforted to know you are now at peace and back with your beloved Brian

I have many fond memories of working alongside Eleanor at Rata House, with our many clients, she was a woman of many talents and had a wicked sense of humour. She hated the smell of vinegar so whenever we made pickles and relishes she always complained bitterly of that awful smell!!
